A card of Initiation. You have access to primordial information. One of the most ancient vertebrates on earth, Crocodile is a survivor. Her reptilian brain lives in each one of us, keeping us breathing, our hearts beating. Crocodile Medicine is about long patience and sudden, fierce decisiveness. Occasionally this card is about revenge after long patience. If you have received this card, ask Crocodile for support in getting a backbone, particularly in regards to anything related to your survival. Pay attention to our parasympathetic nervous system, rest thoroughly, perhaps in water. Crocodile is also your ally when you need to traverse the Dreamtime borders between earth and water, as she is equally at home in both.
Scientific American explains how a caterpillar metamorphoses: ” If you were to cut open a cocoon or chrysalis at just the right time, caterpillar soup would ooze out. But the contents of the pupa are not entirely an amorphous mess. Certain highly organized groups of cells known as imaginal discs survive the digestive process.”
That was me after cancer treatment. Caterpillar soup. Like a caterpillar, I’ve rebirthed, using imagninal cells to organize my new, second life. My new life bears some semblance to my former life, but Nothing Is The Same as Before.
You must learn energy conservation. A 100 watt bulb is fabulous for particular tasks, but uses a lot of energy and is unpleasantly bright. Constantly working at your outer limit is not sustainable; you end up burned out. 40 watts gives a warm and pleasant illumination for most activities and conserves energy as well.
Practice working at 40% most of the time and turn on the 100 watt bulb only as a task light. Consider ways to conserve energy in your life.
